Our approach
We focus on areas where Woodstock can make a meaningful contribution: cleaner energy, lower-carbon travel, warmer and more efficient homes, less waste, healthier ecosystems and informed public decisions.
Some changes are personal, some are community projects and some depend on councils, developers or national government. Sustainable Woodstock works across all three levels.
Support renewable generation, energy efficiency and fair community benefit.
Make walking, wheeling, cycling and public transport easier and safer.
Protect and restore habitats that support biodiversity and climate resilience.
Reduce waste, reuse more and challenge unnecessary single-use products.
What local action can do
No single household or town can solve climate change alone. But local action still matters: it cuts emissions directly, demonstrates what works, builds public support and makes larger policy changes easier to achieve.
That is why we combine practical projects with information, campaigning and partnerships rather than treating climate action as one narrow programme.
